Chongyang Palace had its flourishing days in Yuan Dynasty. By Laoyu River in the east, Zhongnan Mountain in the south and Weishui River in the north, the palace has more than 5000 halls and pavillions, with about 10000 Taoist priests living here.Over 40 stone tablets about history of Quanzhen Taoism are housed, of which the stone images of Wang Chongyang and his seven disciples, Stele of Wumenling and Stele of Royal Dress in Yuan Dynasty are known as "Three Superb Steles".There are also other famous stone tablets treasured here such as the Tablet of Secret Formulas of Quanzhen Taoism, Imperial Edicts Tablet of Five Emperors in Yuan Dynasty and stone relief of "Zhongdao Teasing Ghost" by Wu Daozi in the Tang Dynasty.
