Liang Qichao (February 23, 1873 - January 19, 1929) was a Chinese scholar, journalist, philosopher and reformist during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), who inspired Chinese scholars with his writings and reform movements. He died of illness in Beijing at the age of 55.

Liang Qichao(1873-1929) is considered as the initiatory ideologist of the bourgeoisie in modern China as well as political-campaign specialist and learned master.Liang Qichao,alias Rengong and host of Yingbing Room,styled himself Zuoru,whose hometown is located in Xinhui,Guangdong.Being a great patriot, he devoted his whole life to groping for the selfgoverned and prosperous road for China. Liang Qichao settled himself down in Tianjin in 1915,where he masterminded the State Safe guarding War against Yuan Shikai's restoration of imperialism. During his last ten years,Liang Qichao involved himself in academic study and scholarly research, producing great achievement on writing and compiling. It is acknowledged that Liang Qichao made a great contribution to Chinese society as well.

Memorial of Ling Qichao was established in October 2002, consisting of the former residence of Liang Qichao and his Study, "Yinbing Room". The Memorial covers occupied terra area of 2500m2, a total construction area of 2050m2. His former residence is opened up as exhibition room. A massof such historical information roundly brings forth the rich and colorful life of Liang Qichao as photographs,literatures,illusrations and so on..Through rehabilitation, the Study, " Yinbing Room",reappears his studying and living conditions before the passing of Liang Qichao.
    

The personage both at home and abroad and his relatives pay much of their attention to the building of Memorial of Liang Qichao.The former president Jiang Zemin,vice prime ministerQian Qichen and People's Political Consultative Conference Chairman Jia Qinglin used to come and visite the memorial.The Memerial constitutes a significant place where you can acquaint yourself with the whole life of Liang Qichao and modern China history.Following with the rehabilitation and opening to the outside of the Study, "Yinbing Room",the Memorial have became a center where people study Liang Qichao himself and his academic ideology as well as exchange their own view points on them.
