The Chaoyin Temple was built on 1404 (Ming Dynasty). It used to be called Nanhaidasi Temple or Shuangshan Temple. It faces the Haihe River Mouth at Dagu and is one the few temples that faces east. It is the only cultural relics in the south of Tanggu District that opens to outside world.

The Chaoyin Temple is consisted of three main halls, four side halls in south and north, and two courtyards in south and north. There is Liuxian Pavilion and 14 Buddha Statues including Kuanyin Bodhisattva. It is a approved place for holding Religious Events. It takes sea and boats as its unique feature. It has been endowed with several hundred years of legend like the origin of Kuanyin Bodhisattva and remedy by Luban. You may enjoy your self by watching the Ming and Qing Dynasty style ancient building groups and inscribed horizontal tablets and antithetical couplets which suit both refined and popular tastes.

Temple fairs will be hold on every February 19th in lunar calendar (the birthday of Kuanyin Bodhisattva). Over one million pilgrims and tourists have visited the Chaoyin Temple during the past ten years. You may visit the Chaoyin Temple during you trip. The temple has prepared joss sticks, souvenirs and Buddhist Ceremony supplies for you. You may burn joss sticks and pray for safe and sound of your family.

The Chaoyin Temple is located in Xigu on the West bank of Haihe River. It is situated to the north of Haibin Bathing Beach, to the South of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Area, to the west of Dagu Fort and to the East of Jingu Highway. The Chaoyin Temple is the district level priority cultural relic's protection unit. It is a combined religious place of Buddhism, Taoism, laymen, and various schools of cultures. Traffic Guide

You may take bus No.110, 617, or 629 to the road junction near the Chaoyin Temple. Or you may take bus No. 108 to the Shuixian Ferry and go across the Haihe River and go 500 meters to the west and you can find the Chaoyin Temple.
