Reed Marshes is the core of the whole Shajiabang Scenic Area. Shajiabang Town with the total area of 33.13aquare kilometers, inclusive of 12 administrative villages and o-ne peoples residential committee, beside the beautiful Yangchehu Lake. The town is rated as the token of the land of rice and fish in the south, with genial climate, rich soil, sweet water and abundant agricultural products.

From 1988, Shajiabang government opened up 150 ree marshes as the tourist attractions. Now the reed marshes scenic are of more than 1,000 mu are equipped with memorial archway, pavilions, waterside pavilions, trestel roads, fishing, aquaculture, tool display, reed maze, alcatraz lake, Hongshi Village, town, Chuanlai Tea Hall and others entertarinment project.
