Songtsam lvgu Lodge(Shangri-la) is located in kena Village (also known as 'xiaojiezi') at the foot of Songzanlin temple, far away from the hustle and bustle of Shangri La city. It takes about 2 minutes to walk to Songzanlin temple.
The building of the hotel is a four storey stone building with Tibetan Civil structure, which is reconstructed from the old house where the founder of the group, Mr. baimaduoji, grew up. The hotel has more than 20 Tibetan style guest rooms, restaurants, viewing terrace and book bar. There are a large number of traditional hand-made carpets, Tibetan furniture, bronzes, thangkas and handicrafts in the interior, known as the 'Museum of Tibetan folk culture and art'.
