Goddess Matsu Temple is located in the Wuzhizhou Island and is the oldest temple in Hainan. The Mastu called sailing patron saint is consecrated by fishmen, and it was protecting the fishmen form generation to generation. In the primitive and simplicity temple, burning a stick of incense and making a wish and thinking the long back in time. It's said that the temple is consecrated Cang Jie, the creater of Chinese Characters. After the Qing government was downfell, the temple was no one to manage and the fishimen didn't know which god they would be consecrated. So they built the patron saint, Mastu again. The original temple had collapsed, so the builders on the island built it again in 1993.
