Pien Chi'ao [Bian Que] - The most ancient of the physicians from the historical period (ca. 500 B.C.). He was reputed to be an excellent diagnostician, excelling in pulse taking and acupuncture therapy. He is ascribed the authorship of Bian Que Neijing (Internal Classic of Bian Que). Han Dynasty physicians claimed to have studied his works, which have since been lost.

According to legend, he was a doctor who performed a dual-heart transplant on warriors Gong Hu and Qi Ying.

The Memorial Hall of Bian Que consists of the east hall and the west one. The west hall was built earlier, but destroyed by the Japanese invaders during the Anti-Japanese War, and only a pair of stone lions and three steles survived the war; the east hall is relatively well-preserved, consisting of the main hall and the side hall. In the warm room of the main hall there is a clay-made sitting statue of Bian Que, which is painted with colors. The statue is wearing dragon robe and tied with jade belt, giving off the style of Song sculpture.
