Sizhou Temple is built in Liang Dynasty the Southern Dynasty. It was rebuilt in Tang Dynasty and reestablished in Yuan Dynasty. The modelling of the Mahavira Hall and Bell and Drum Temple is simple and unsophisticated. Its overhanging eaves is unique, shows its own ingenuty. It is the only Yuan Dynasty style building in Hubei Province. Now it is listed as one of 450 large temple in the whole country.
