The City of the Chu Emperor Site is located in esternsuburbs Yunmeng County Town. When Wu and Chu made war in Period of Autumn and Spring, King Chu ordered his son to build this town.

The archaeology department confirmed that coils with a total area of 3.7 square kilometers, part of the remaining wall surface soil higher than 2.7 meters, and there also had the gates address, moat, drainage channel and platform. From 1m of the cultural level, the cultural relic from Shang Dynasty to Qin and Han Dynasties were came out, like ceramice well of the Eastern Zhou Dyanasty, bamboo slip of Qin Dynasty and others. Some of them were Class A heritage.

The site was listed as the county-level importan site by Hubei Province Museum in 1984.
