Not far ahead from Chen Yi Square is a green ladder, 27 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width. The ladder has ten sidesteps in all, but it is not a common ladder as most people have thought.

The clock, known as the "Pace of Times", lies opposite the Old Clock atop the Customs House across the street. Time's Waterfall Clock features a modern scenic clock made in China, while the Old Clock is a classic-style timepiece made in UK. Two clocks, old and new, produce a unique scene, one complementing the other. They remind people day and night of making full use of time.

Actually it is a waterfall clock, because there are thousands of water muzzles installed on all its ten steps which could eject water columns under the control of a central computers, and meanwhile, colorful lights shining over the waterfall reflects different times in some world major cities.
