Memorial Hall of the Victory of Crossing Yangtze River is located on the gate tower which is in Yijiangmen. Yijiangmen is near Yangzi River, in the northern of Stone City, is connected with beautiful Lion Mountain and Bazi Mountain. The gate tower is a two-floor palatial building copied Ming palace.

Yijiangmen  was built in 1921, because there was a gate, it was Hailing Gate. In order to send Sun Yat-sen's corpse to Zhongshan Mausoleum smoothly, it was exptended three arches, called Yijingmen.

On 23th Apirl, 1949, when Nanjing was liberated, the Chinese People's Liberation Army enter into the city from here in formidable array. On 23th Apirl, 1984, in order to commemorate the liberation of Nanjing for 35 years, it was became the Memorial Hall of the Victory of Crossing Yangtze River after rebuiltion.

There are collecting many cultural relic and historical data, displaying the historical choice of Chinese nation, recording development history of Chinese revolution and expounding struggle performance of Chinese Communist.

Now many historical data, pictures, tables, copies and others are displayed in the hall. It is richly showing the scene and historical facts of revolutionary war.
