The Lushun Victory Tower is located in Lushunkou District.  It is a municipality protected relic site.  The tower is erected by the Soviet army in memory of the defeat of Japanese imperialism before withdrawing from Lushun.  The construction began in March 1955 and was completed on September 3rd of the same year.  The tower stands at 45 meters, occupying 15,000 m2.  The tower is made from polished granite.  The pentagonal foundation has two layers of stairs on each of the five sides.  On the second layer, there are five hexagonal columns and ten octagonal columns, which compose the pillar of the tower.  The pillar and the tower base create a tower gallery.  The center is the pentagonal tower body.  Inside the tower body, there are 180 stairs that goes up to the platform.  The five-meter tower spire is made of gold plated bronze.  The tip of the spire is a red five-pointed star surrounded by gold plated tassel decorations.  The tower inscription is at the base of the tower.  Around the tower, there are neatly trimmed pines, cypresses, and flower beds.

    Every spring, peach blossom and cherry blossom bloom successively, rose and peony vie for attention.  The beautiful scenery attracts guests from many places.
