Site of the First National Congress of the CPC is to attend the CPC "big" brother of the is the birthplace of the Chinese Communist Party. It was build in 1952 and it was located on No.76 Xinye Road (the original No.106 Wangzhi Road). It is a shelter of Shucheng Lee whose brother is the Shanghai representative of the Communist Party of China's "a large" , and was a building of stone-ringed door type.


Since 23d July, 1921, the meeting was convened in the hall of about 18 square meters in the ground floor. To attend this conference were Mao Zedong, Dong Biwu and other 13 delegates. The meeting was noticed by a French spy, then the delegates evacuated immediately in the scene. They went to the south lake of Jiaxing in Zhejiang and continued to hold the meeting on a cruise. The congress passed the party platform, elections in the central leadership organization, then the communist party of China was founded.

After new China was founded, the site was repaired base on the original appearence of the memorial hall, and the decoration inside the hall were still keeping the original appearence. Now it is the important heritage site under state protection. In the memorial hall there are still existing three exhibition rooms to display the cultural relic which were founded period of our party. In order to protecte Site of the First National Congress of the CPC is to attend the CPC "big" brother of the ,  this historically important site of the revolution, In June 1996, the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee decided to implement the expansion project of "a large" memorial site. The appearance of the new building is similar to the construction of Communist Party of China's "a large" site, was covered an area of 715 square meters. A layer of the earth for the audience service facilities with hall, multi-function academic lecture hall and VIP rooms. The second floor was "the Communist Party of China to create history cultural relics display" gallery. On May 27, 1999, the memorial site expansion project of the Chinese Communist Party "a large"  was officially open in Shanghai 50 anniversary celebration liberation. CPC central committee general secretary comrade Zemin Jiang inscripted "without the Communist Party, there would have been no New China" for the finishment and opening of the hall. Since the communist party of China's "a large" memorial was building library at last 50 years, the collect and cultural relics in the collection of over 38000 pieces, had received  nearly ten million people at home and abroad.

In the living room on the first floor where the congress was held, everything is placed as it was 84 years ago. The articles copied from the originals create an imposing atmosphere in this 18-square-meter (194 sq. ft) little room. Upstairs is an exhibition hall of 450 square meters (4,860 sq. ft), with more than one hundred revolutionary relics, documents, and photos on display. The exhibits cover the history of the Party's birth, the blooming of nation-wide communist teams, photos of the thirteen members, etc. In addition, a waxworks hall inside vividly reproduces the scene of this significant meeting. The other twelve members listen and smile as Mao Zedong, founder of the PRC, makes his speech. Lifelike, the wax figures seem to make time stand still, bringing people back to that exciting moment.
