Shanghai Maglev Train, the first MAGLEV line in the world. When it was built up, more than thirty kms which was from Pudong Dragon Road to the Pudong International airport, just spent six to seven minutes. Shanghai Maglev Train was the normal conducting type maglev train. This suspended way needn't to set up a dedicated ground support equipment and the ground round of auxiliary.To TR series of the Germanic maglev train as a representative, its speed could reach 400~500/kilometers, and it was mainly fit to the long-distance high-speed transportation between cities; in addition, the efficiency and speed of the HSST series of the Japanese maglev train was lower, and it was mainly fit to the slow running.

The idea to the normal conducting type maglev train was came out in 1922 by Herman · Kemper, a engineer from Germany.
