Jinglu Hostel Songyang, no. 34, Shizi Road, located in the center of the old street of Songyang County, is a house built by Xu family, a famous local family in the late Qing Dynasty. His descendants came back from studying abroad and rebuilt it. It is one of the few European style houses in Lishui area and also a cultural relic protection building. Later, after the war and turmoil, the house went through turnover several times, and later generations moved to settle down everywhere. One of the threads was that major general Xu followed Chiang Kai Shek to Taiwan.
Architectural style:
The style of the whole house is integrated with Chinese and Western styles, and many European style arches and carvings are still preserved. Among them, there are 6 Chinese style rooms in total. Each room has a loft. The first floor is the reception and leisure area, and the loft is the sleeping and rest area. The partition windows and skylights of that era are specially designed and preserved. There are also six western style rooms, four of which are small and located on the first floor. The best one is the suite on the second floor. There is not only a sunny terrace, but also a local landmark: Dushan.
Location:
The building is just located in the old street of the county. When you go out, turn left to the ancient street of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and turn right 50 meters to the most prosperous commercial street of the county. It's only a 10 minute walk from the passenger transport center.
