It is a subordinate unit of the general office of Jiangsu provincial Party committee, a designated hotel for government procurement, with no branch. For a long time, it mainly undertakes the political reception tasks assigned by the provincial Party committee, the provincial government and the general office of the provincial Party committee. The hotel has a long history. Before liberation, it was the seat of the US embassy in China, formerly known as Xikang Road guest house.
