Zaiyang Inn Chaozhou is located in Taiping Road, Zaiyang lane, near the west road.
Zaiyang Inn was built in the middle of Qing Dynasty, about 200 years ago. The plaque of 'dafudi' is hung on the gate tower. In ancient times, 'dafudi', as well as 'zizhengdi' and 'Confucianist Di' belong to the official residence, which can flaunt the identity of the owner and family. ?? In the early 1950s, Mr. Liao Zhenxiang, an overseas Chinese living in Thailand (then the president of Thailand Longhua Buddhist Society), bought the 'dafudi' from the owner of the house. In the following decades, like many ancient dwellings in the ancient city of Chaozhou, they went through the baptism of wind and rain and were in a state of disrepair and nearly collapse.
In 2009, the old house was handed to Mr. Liao Yiming. With a dream of protecting and inheriting Chaozhou's excellent traditional culture, he was determined to save the 'dafudi' left by his grandfather, which is full of family memory. He spent a lot of money to hire experts in ancient architecture. In line with the purpose of repairing the old as before, he finally transformed the 'dafudi' into an ancient residential Inn in Chaozhou. The mattress in the guest room is very comfortable and equipped with high-speed WiFi, independent toilet, kettle, etc.
In 2017, it will be expanded and renovated. In line with the concept of 'experiencing authentic Chaozhou culture', Zaiyang Inn has created a precedent for the protection and utilization of Chaozhou ancient dwellings, and has become a leader and pioneer in the development of Chaozhou Inn industry. In 2018, it was rated as a high-quality B & B hotel by Chaozhou Tourism Bureau. It is under the insistence and drive of Mr. Liao Yiming for many years that more ancient dwellings in the ancient city area have been transformed, protected and utilized. Many ancient city residents are willing to give the ancestral house to Mr. Liao Yiming for renovation and utilization, so that the ancestral house's life can continue.
