In spring of 1782, Yuan Mei, the famous writer traveled to the eastern of Zhejiang. After he visiting Yandang Mountain, he passed Jinyun County. But he was informed the magistrate went out, he decided to visit Xiandu. The next day, he was travelled by Yu Qishu. After his visiting, he wrote a piece of travels and some poems. After that, he made a good friend with Yu Qishu.
