Qizhen Temple is the main Buddhist temple in Yanmen Scenic Area. It is 18km away from the southeastern of the county.


The temple was built in 861. It was said that it was fomous for Xuanzhen becoming a monk. In 908, the Mahavira Hall was rebuilt that built out Dabei Pavilion, Thousands Hands Guanyin Pavilion, fifty monks and 100 temples. It risen and fallen in Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasty. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was fallen firstly. It was rebuilt in 1755 and Luohan Tower was built in 1844. In the 1960s, the temple was taken down, but it is rebuilt today.


There are 500 lifelike arhats, 120 monks' houses and more than 100 monks. The chair is called Shiquan, he is good at confucianism and he is a standout of the buddhist circles in Jinyun.
