There is a pond in Xiandu Humble Cottage, it is called Jinlian Pond. In 1553, Fan Xianke's mother was died. In order to observe mounrning for his mother, he built a yard called "Xiandu Humble Cottage" in Dufeng Academy. There were some officicals of Ming D ynsty leaving poems here, like Gao Chao, Sun Zhao, Li Shifu, Gu Shengzhi and others.
