Being one of the well known tourist attractions in Wuzhou, White Crane Taoist Temple is situated in the beautiful Yuanjiang Road, facing the Drake River and backing to the White Crane Hill. It is set in the beautiful surroundings with spacious foothill and green trees. Three rivers and five ridges are passing by the temple, thus bringing it demeanour of fairyland delicate fragrance of the river. The temple welcomes the arising sun from afar and looks at the passing water, thus looking forward to be open and aboveboard. With a land area of 3000 square meters, the temple was built in the Kaiyuan period (A.D.713--741) of the Tang Dynasty, more than 1200 years old. It composes of archway, square and Three Taoist Deities Hall with lifelike grey carvings and it is the shrine for deities for people to pray, cultivate Taoist doctrine. It is a well preserved Taoist temple in Guangxi with an architectural style of the Qing dynasty in Southern China. The three deities in the Three Taoist Deities Hall are three most supreme Taoist deities, namely, the Celestial Worthy of the Original Beginning, the Celestial Worthy of the Morals and the Celestial Worthy of the Spirits. Many tourists come here for worship all year round. The temple was rat as Autonomous Region-level major historical and cultural site under protection by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government in 2000.
