One of the most attractive things of Xianning is the Taiyi Cave full of beautiful sculptured stalactites and stalagmites. The Taiyi Cave scenic spot is 5kms away from the south of Wenquan (Hot Spring) and the cave is believed to have a history of 3,600,000 years. The name of the cave is written by famous Chinese calligrapher Mr. Zhao Puchu. The cave is specific for its natural beauty and unique strangeness. The main cave goes from south to north and runs more the 2,200 meters, inside the cave stalactites hang down and stone pillars stand in great numbers, which form more than 100 scenic spots. Many of them are very rare in the natural world.

Outside the cave is the beautiful Taiyi Temple where the Taoists practice Taoism to become immortals.
