Ye Shengtao Memorial Hall is located at the former site of The 5th High School where Ye Shengtao taught from 1917 to 1922. It is located beside the Baosheng Temple in Luzhi township, Wuzhong district of Suzhou city

   Ye Shengtao  (28 October 1894 - 16 February 1988) was a prominent author, educator and publisher. He was one of the founders of the Association for Literary Studies , the first literature association during the May Fourth Movement in China.

   Throughout his life, he was dedicated to publishing and language education. His strongest advocation was 'Literature is for Life'.

   Puli Trotters and Puli duck: Two dishes in Luzhi township are Puli trotters and Puli duck . They are said to be prepared according to the recipe of poet Mr. Pu-li; he often treated guests with these two dishes.

Traffic

   Take the direct midibus with air-conditioner in the square before Suzhou Railway Station; or take the midibus at Wuxian Bus Station, 6;20-17;20, 40 minutes per shift; or take bus 18 in the east of Suzhou, ticket is 2.5 RMB, o­ne hour per shift, about 50 minutes' distance. The transport vehicles in the town are sight-seeing tricycles, the starting price is 2 RMB, bring you to the various sites.
