Sanming, situated in the northwest of Fujian, is labeled as one of the most "green" cities in China. In Sanming, there are four well preserved and protected National Park, which have amazing mountainous landscapes created by various landforms, including fluvial, Danxia, and karst.  

Located at the foot of Tianjie Mountain, 5 kilometers southeast of Jiangle County, Yuhua Cave is the biggest limestone cave in Fujian and enjoys a reputation of one of the top four karst caves in China.

Yuhua Cave has been a hot tourism destination since its discovery in the early Han Dynasty. Every year, more than 200 thousand visitors are attracted to explore its beauty and mystery.

The cave is 6 kilometres long. It consists of six branch caves: Zanghe Cave, Leigong Cave, Guozi Cave, Huangni Cave, Xiyuan Cave and Baiyun Cave, and three subterranean rivers zigzaging through the cave: Stone Spring, Well Spring and Ling Spring.

The cave has more than 180 underground scenic spots which are formed by lime rocks.  "Immortal's Field", "Alchemical Furnace", "Litchi Pillar", "Dragon Coming out from Sea" and "Child Kowtowing to Guanyin", are various shapes of lime rocks that show the visitors wonderful views in the cave.

Jiguan Stone, the landmark in Yuhua Cave, is a huge triangle shape rock on a stone base, which resembles a crest. From the entrance of the cave to the exit which is on the top of the mountain, you can experience a special adventure from dimness to lightness.

Name of the cave
The cave gets its name as the rocks in the cave are as bright and smooth as jade. It is said that the rocks in the cave were originally white. However, as years of affect by tourism, the rocks have been blackened a little.  
How to get there:
1) Self-driving: Go to Jiangle County through Quanxia Highway, Fuquan Highway and Fuyin Highway - then turn to S304 Provincial Highway to get to Yuhua Cave Scenic Spot
