Deer Off, is located in the eastern of Taibao Town, Lian Mountain. It always the throat land of the eastern of Lian Mountain.

It is said that Zheng Chenggong's father, Zheng Zhilong ever led army into Lian Mountain from Lianzhou, and they cut through hills and mended a road in Deer Off. When it was Qing Emperor Kangxi Years, the magistrate of Lian Mountain came into Lian Mountain and resumed his post from Huangshui River. He said reluctantly,"When people come into Huangshui River, the people will fall ill; when people come into Lianshan, the road will be rugged". But this magistrate of Lian Mountain put his heart into the Lian Mountain Building. In 1680, when Zheng Zhilong cut through hills as the off, it was called "Coop Off". In 1817, the "Coop Off" was rebuilt and renamed as "Deer Off".
