Maogong Mountain is one of the major tourist attractions in Liannan County. The head of the cat is holding high and it is overlooking. The three branches of the Jujube Trees likes the tilt of the cat and its back upheavals. Other three baninas are arranged line-styled, as if a long and narrow tail of a cat. These towering trees make Maogong Mountain lifelike. It is said that the Maogong Mountain is called Futu Mountain originally because the stone in the western looks like an ear of rabbit. As the hours pass away, the trees on the mountain become more and more dense that shut out the rabbit ear huge stone. Overlooking from the northern, it also looks like a tom, so later it is called Maogong Mountain.

There are stone shovel, stone cogongrass and others around Maogong Mountain and karst cave. After appraisal of provincial archaelolgical experts, these neolithic remains prove that as early as forty-five thousand years ago, here are human.
