Jiuwan Gorge is about 45km away from Qingtian County, is the typical water erosion gorge. It shows "V" and the scenic area is 8km long with gross area of about 5.3 square kilometers. The gorge is famouse for the stone, hole, pond and wall.

There are more than one hundred of natural ponds in the scenic area, and there are three ponds with 4m to 5m deep and more than 2,000 square meters. But the ponds with 1m to 3m and more than 30 square meters are countless. It is called "natural pool" and "natural river bed".

River bed is located in the bottom of Jiuwan Gorge, with the span is about 10,000 meters, the average width of about 70 meters, and the water movesfrom west to east. The superior rock has an area of 1,000 square meters. It is concave in the middle, and there is ponding for the deepest is about 0.5m, like a natuaral plate. The subordinate rock has an area of about 2,000 square meters, and it is concave in the middle, there is the ponding for the deepest is about 1m. The water quality of valley stream is clear, so that it gets the national level 1 standards for drinking water.
