Huangshui Forest Park is located in the northeast of Shizhu Tujia Nationality Autonomous County with an average elevation of 1,000 meters, the largest elevation of 1,934 meters and the smallest of 800 meters, covering an area of 50,400 hectares. Because of the differences of elevations, the climates here are quite various from one place to another. In summer, it is quite cool and it becomes a perfect summer resort. Huangshui Forest Park is the youngest and largest one among the five national grade forest parks. It is also the only national forest park in the minority nationality scenic area.

Huangshui National Forest Park is situated in the mountain area of the sedimentary rock of Wushan Mountain. It is not only a natural oxygen bar and a natural air conditioner, but also a kingdom of plants and a paradise of animals. There are more than 3,000 species of common trees in this forest park. It is also one of the several extant habitats for the precious plant-metasequoia with the No. 1 seed tree of metasequoia growing here. Taxus chinensis, Douglas fir as well as the Ficus altissima can all be found in the Huangshui Forest Park. In the primitive forest which is seldom visited, over 50 kinds of wild animals live happily. Colorful birds such as the bamboo partridges, magpies, cuckoos, Leucodioptron canorus, red-billed leiothrix and so on shuffling in the forests, quite beautiful.

Forest Bathing Place
There is a forest bathing place in the Huangshui Forest Park, occupying an area of 180 hectares. The majority of these pines in the bathing place are more than 10 meters high. Visitors can take a forest bath here in the Jndia cedar forest. It is a good way to cultivate your own characters and personalities.

Dafengbao Primitive Forest
Covering an area of 1,500 hectares, the Dafengbao Primitive Forest is the acme of Huangshui National Forest Park.
