The Heimi Peak is situated to the northeast of Changsha City, 590.5 meters above sea level. It covers an area of 3410 hectares, 1882 of which are mountainous areas. Together with the Mt. Yuelu, the Gushan Mount, and the Mt. Shendingshan, it is known as one of the four renowned Buddhist Mountains in Changsha. Also it is one of the 36 Taoist caves and heavens. On the towering Heimi Peak there are not only ancient trees, but also vales with waterways. It also has ancient temples and historical relics and pleasant scenic spots for recreation. It boasts not only fascinating pastoral landscape, but also an ideal place for education. It is the only large mountain close to the city where a beautiful forest park is to be developed. After development and construction, the park will provide an ideal place for tourists to visit, take holidays, enjoy the cool in summer, relax or go hunting.


In the park, the trees are dense and the environment is pleasant. There are 20 places of interes and historical relics and 27 grotesque rocks and 39 scenic spots, totaling 86 scenic spots and places of interest. The Heimi ancient Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, and it is one of the four sacred Buddhist places in the Changsha area. Some Japanese Buddhist believers have come here to worship Buddha. "Shouzi Stone" (a rock with the word "Longevity" inscribed on) is said to be written in the handwriting of the immortal Lv Dongbin, and the character is vigorously written. "Fozi Stone" is a rock looking like the head of a monk, on which the word Fo (Buddha) is inscribed. The principal peak is majestic and it makes people relax and happy. The reservoir in the Huxi Village covers an area of 25 hectares, becoming a natural aquatic entertainment center with its vast area of blue water. The "Magic Fountain" which has been examined and approved by the provincial epidemic prevention station has been given permission to be marketed as quality mineral water.
