Ming Dynasty City Wall of Xibian Gate is located at the northwestern corner of the outer city walls. It has a height of 10,5 metres, and the other specifications are the same as that of Dongbianmen. It was dismantled in 1952. Parts of the barbican walls remain. There are four corner guard towers at the four vertices of the outer city walls. Beijing belongs to a warm sub-continental monsoon climate; its summer is hot and rainy while winter is cold and dry. Spring and fall are short. Its annual average temperature is 10-12 degrees celsius. The best time for travel is from April to November.
