Shangfang Mountain is the largest national forest park in North China. It is well-known for its nine caves, 12 peaks and 72 thatched cottages. "Heavenly ladders" lead up to the peak. Along the way, visitors can see the primitive forest. There are many relics of temples scattering in the mountains. Yunshui cave is located here. Yunshui Cave is o­ne of nine caves o­n Shangfang Mountain. The cave is 613 meters long, consisting of six halls with 108 natural spots. The cave also has the largest stalagmite in China, topping 37 meters. The Shangfang Mountain is located in Fangshan District in the southwestern suburbs. It has 9 caves, 12 peaks, and 72 temples and nunneries. In 1992, it was made a national forest park and became a holiday resort with beautiful landscapes, ancient trees, wild flowers, maple leaves, and pleasant climate.
