The orginal name of West Hall was Yu Hut, was beside the river which was located in the southwestern of Stone Pavilion. This hall was built in the Southern Song Dynasty, but ater it went through rise and fall. The existing building was rebuilt in Jiaqing Years. The West Hall was used to consecrate Hou Wangda.
