My husband and I chose Pod Inn because weve stayed at a Pod Inn before in a different city and loved it. This Pod Inn was a little different, but still good. The beds werent as comfortable and the other Pod Inn, but still better than many Chinese beds. It was very clean, which is always nice. The location isnt horrible considering the price we got the room for, Id say it was worth it. Its a few blocks from the nearest subway line and from there you can easily get to anywhere in Shanghai. We did have trouble locating it when we first arrived. We passed it the first time because it was hard to see the Pod Inn sign. It is connected to a restaurant and possibly another hotel. I know a little Chinese and I saw the characters for hotel, but we were looking for Pod Inn so we just walked on by.Also, they dont leave a toothbrush or anything in your room like most other hotels, but I found out you can ask the front desk for them and they will give them to you. All in all, Id recommend this hotel to anyone who doesnt have a lot of money to spend on a nice hotel room, but still wants to stay in a clean, friendly place.
