The main geological relics and sceneries of Xisha Wetland Park are 'the geological relic of delta mudflat', 'the geological relic of wetland landform', and the plants, birds and animals of wetland. In total, there are two categories and seventeen typical geological relics. The park presents the geological sceneries of the largest delta island in the world and the ecological civilization living in harmony with nature. From last September, Xisha Wetland began to ecologically import birds, carry out the diversity planting and purifying water treatments. Through these measures, the park tried to build a multi-function wetland ecological demonstration zone which combined the functions of education, research, recreation and holiday. Xisha Wetkand is different from Dongtan Wetland. It heavily depends on tides. Without tides, Xisha Wetland wouldn't exist. A cycle of tide needs 12 hours and 24 minutes. The various landforms of the wetland are formed by tide, such as lake, mudbank, river and marsh, and it is inhabited by various kinds of animals in the wetland, like migratory birds and crabs, brought by the tide. Besides, in order to make tourists feel closer to the nature, the management of the wetland built a 2 kilometers long wooden bridge that allow people travel around marsh. People who worked there said Dongtan Wetland is the best spot for watching sunrise and sunset is in Xisha Wetland.
