In the 10th year of Jiajing, the court officials invited to build the capital in Anlu prefecture (Zhongxiang), which was discussed by the Ministry of rites. Born by Zunxian, Emperor Jiajing named his hometown Zhongxiang Xingdu, changed the state to Fu, and granted the name Chengtian, which is similar to Shuntian in Beijing and Yingtian in Nanjing. Zhongxiang is located in the middle of the two capitals, so it is called 'Zhongjing'.
